Win4Youth is Adecco’s worldwide social responsibility programme. Through it, we collect funds for foundations that support the well-being of children and young people around the world. Values are important to us and with social responsibility programmes, we want to bring them to be a part of the everyday life of colleagues, temporary workers and our clients.
The W4Y programme was launched in 2010, so now we’re in the sixth solid year of exercise and charity. We exercise every year in a common event with colleagues, temporary workers and clients. This year, our event is the triathlon, so charity kilometres can be accumulated by running (also by walking or wheelchair racing), swimming or cycling.
In addition to the exercise kilometres of colleagues, temporary workers and clients, the charity pot is added to through the work of the Win4Youth ambassadors, who are chosen annually. The Win4Youth ambassadors represent every Adecco country, they train under a strict regime and take part in a top-level event of the annual sport in the autumn. This year, the main event was the Ocean Lava Triathlon in Lanzarote, Spain.
The objective of 2016 is a heady 3,500,000 kilometres moved. If the goal is reached, the Adecco Group will donate a significant sum for the operations of foundations that promote the well-being of children and young people.
This year, the Godfather of the programme will be the Olympic gold medallist, Ironman Frederik Van Lierde. In previous years, the Godparents have included the Ironwoman Nicola Spirig, the cycling legend Eddy Merckx, the Formula 1 star and later Paralympics gold winner Alessandro Zanardi and the No.1 in the women’s world tennis rankings, Kim Clijsters.
Adecco is inviting all colleagues, temporary workers and clients to register now at the address: tracking.win4youth.com. After registration, you can download the W4Y-app to an iPhone, iPad or Android. You can use the application to log your performance or record the kilometres on the web page after your performance. You can get further information and instructions on the logging of kilometres from the nearest Adecco office.
