Aptitude assessment and analysing an employee's potential
Our assessment of individual persons is always based on the client company's business and competence requirements. The assessment may be related to recruitment, organisational changes and streamlining or the identification of future potential. We always carry out a personal feedback interview with the person being assessed and provide them with a written statement of the assessment. In talks with the client to report on the results of the assessment, our consultant will give the client reliable and objective information on the persons who were assessed in order to support recruitment decisions, the evaluation of training needs or career planning.
Adecco Finland Oy's assessment tasks are carried out exclusively by licenced selection consultants. Their work is based on best assessment practices, relevant legislation and scientifically valid methods.
The aptitude assessment supports our client's recruitment process and ensures the candidate's suitability through various appraisal methods. We choose appropriate appraisal methods on a case-by-case basis. The methods we use include the following:
- appraisal methods for measuring personality, motivation and ability developed for the requirements of working life
- simulation exercises and case assignments to assess the candidate's professional abilities and the degree to which the candidate has a realistic perception of the position being applied for in relation to his or her own abilities.
The analysis of an employee's potential is an assessment of a person already employed by the company, and the assessment is not necessarily conducted for the purpose of making a recruitment decision. The analysis of an employee's potential can e.g. promote an individual's career planning or personal on-the-job development. The appraisal methods used in the analysis of an employee's potential are always selected on a case-by-case basis.
