Adecco's own ACP athlete Anni Alitalo successful in Finnish championship swimming

Adecco has Athlete Career Programme (ACP), a program that provides career counseling for athletes and coaches. Adecco has made use of the ACP program, including recruiting colleagues and one of them is Anni Alitalo, who works at Dataset, Adecco's branch offering data management and office services. Adecco's and Anni’s journey began on 15th Dec 2011 at an event where Dataset's group manager Veli-Matti Volmari was presenting Olympic Committee’s and Adecco's cooperation. There were also scholarships given for athlete students and one of them was Anni.

At the end of the presentation, Veli-Matti provided a change for people to make an appointment for personal counselling session. One of the interested ones was Anni, with whom Veli-Matti arranged  a personal meeting on 29th Dec. The meeting included writing a CV and a job application, and at the same time they simulated a small interview training. During the meeting it became clear that Anni was looking for part-time job alongside her studies and sporting career. Annie is studying political science at the University of Helsinki for the first year. This was a fate, as Veli-Matti’s team was looking for a part-time office employee. A few days later a contract was signed and she began to work as a part-time office worker on 16th Jan 2012.

Anni is responsible for assisting tasks, incoming mail receipt, opening of the shells open (about 4000-5000/day), mailings, and assisting on other office functions. Work will be agreed flexible on both sides so that the exams, training, camps or competitions aren’t disrupted.

Dataset got to be part of the medal glory when Annie won three Finnish Championship medals in week 5 in Vaasa during competitions. She won one individual silver and two gold medals in relay. Dataset organized a celebration in honor of the success of Anni on Monday 13th Feb 2012.
